Approximately 65 people were in attendance at the panel. Delegates present represented 15 UN Member States from all regions of the world, including both developed and developing nations.

Twenty different non-governmental organizations (NGOs) from around the world were also in attendance, as well as three private sector corporations with international presence. Five representatives from the World Health Organization (WHO) were in attendance, including a member of the WHO initiative for Integrated Management of Childhood Illness (IMCI).
